The White Bar

Last week, Simon said he wants to bring me to Akashi to have whale sperm! woo!

But today, he suddenly told me Akashi at Paragon has closed down and the other Akashi doesnt offer whale sperms. So lunch was off. Call me demanding but i prefer if plans were made, alternatives would be made too if it was called off. I dun like anticipating for something and den realise its not gona happen. In case u're wondering, i'd feel the same even if its a girl friend. And no no, im not majorly unhappy. I dun feel much but i just dun really like the things dun go as anticipated feeling if u know what i mean.

anyway, i had to get to Gymboree to get vouchers for the lil precious ones. Simon went with me. Its Marcus' birthday party tomorrow and i figured getting Gymboree vouchers would probably be more fun den getting a toy etc. I also got the vouchers for lil jiajie. there were lotsa kids at Gymboree! SO CUTE!! one cute boy was there wif his dad and he was somewhat sobbing. His dad was coaxing him and going.. " so how, u want to go in to play or we go home no more.. " just major cute!

after getting the vouchers, we were deciding on where to go. Again, my stated desire to catch Whatever Works wasnt really noted. No tickets were booked. And we had to make calls to whoever whoever was home to help us make the bookings online while we had an early dinner. and not sure why, he keeps claiming his debit card cannot make online purchase of movie tickets but can sign for items. oh well... n its really not about the money coz we do take turns for payments but its just after Eugene, I DON'T WANT TO BE THE ONE BOOKING TICKETS. its the effort element. In the end it was Yinglong who helped us to make the bookings using my card.

we headed to Wheelock's The Pasta Shop.... been wanting to check out this place....

they were having some promotion for their japanese soda (i think its called capris or something). We had a black berry (is there really such a thing as black berry?) and i had a green apple....

i ordered their braised pork pasta....

saw this on tv a long while back and think dat its interesting. It turned out to be ok... the pork wasnt exactly fantastic.. not super tender or anything. the sauce was a little sweet and came with bitter gourd. not something i'd reorder again... it was not not nice.. just not nice either.

simon had a seafood pasta...

also mediocre. he was disappointed there was no crayfish. haha

we still had some time so we headed to do some shopping. One thing is, its quite comfy just leisurely shopping around with Simon.. its all just random.

after the ice cream, we decided to make our way to vivocity where our movie was via train. before we tapped our cards, he was saying maybe we should take the taxi but seeing that we had about an hour or slight bit more, we decided to take the train.

But right after we tapped our cards and entered the station, obviously i went for the lift. Almost every freaking friends of mine or even 'readers' will KNOW i have a phobia for ESCALATORS. and of coz he knows as well. He started to 'complain' and say its time consuming, why won't i take the escalators la, we will be late la and the most outrageous thing he said was.. " u know, by not willing to try, guys will interpret it as you are not willing or don't dare to take the first step ". simply ridiculous if u ask me. Everyone will more or less have one phobia or another isnt it? so wat? does it mean people who have phobia for roaches, rats or heights HAVE TO to all overcome ALL PHOBIAS in order to show that they are willing to take the first step? Its only that their phobias probably dun 'appear' as often in all major malls and buildings ma! and its a weekend afternoon, its damn crowded, It is MAJOR EMBARASSING if i stood there staring or jamming the escalator with the crowd behind me! i was, to be honest pretty annoyed by how inconsiderate he can be to keep nagging at me about the escalator.

but, i took it in stride. So impressed with myself at how i didnt let it bother me and went on to enjoy the movie.

the show Whatever Works turned out to be pretty different from what i had expected. had thot that it would be a romance. It turned out to be quite a show with pretty warped relationships. but rather witty lines they have!

After the show, got a text from annabelle. she asked if im clubbing today. haha.. im like some resident clubber now! haha...

i kissed the guestlist dat i got clammy to get me for tonight goodbye because i decided i will not club tonight. but i did meet up with anna for a short itsy bitsy while! its amazing to me how anna and i share this girly friendship only after she left the same office we used to work at. haha... i adore this babe!

and she was telling me she dyed her hair using that new foam dye today. results look good!

the world is very small. bumped into this girl who is anna's friend who actually happened to be at st james yday night as well and is a friend of ray n roy.

also, jasmine texted me for jeffrey's no. saying she thinks she just saw him. just as i sent her his no., i saw jeffrey! haha... and not long after, i saw jasmine!

den i decided to head to boat quay to meet crabby and berlinda and their friends. simon was 'undecisive' on what to do because i ~~am very sure~~ think he has already confirmed with xinxin that he will meet her for dragonfly tonight but she is not out yet, zixiang is not out yet, i refused to go. so he ~~most~~ probably had to LL head to boat quay with me.

the bar which berlinda wanted to head to was packed so we headed to the chicken cutlet coffeeshop to wait for crabby n zixiang.

it was lotsa fun! den xinxin msged Simon after she has arrived at DF and simon was telling her he is going soon while he was still playing. den xinxin called again and said some guy is pestering her at DF and she needed help.

the funny thing is, xinxin also smsed me out of the blue asking me where i am and telling me she is at DF. haha...I urged Simon to go since he was the one who arranged to meet her ~~and me~~. haha

anyway, zixiang n simon left to head back to DF to join xinxin and den when he got there, he suddenly texted me to say that xinxin actually went up to introduce herself to clammy when she saw her there because she recognises clammy from my fb pics. haha... interesting.

on our side, it was really funny.. see the funny 'candid' posed shots...

and a hilarious series of pictures of trey and me because they called him my seaweed. we took were taking pictures and i realised one of his hand was blocking my face so after the picture was taken, i asked him... " do you think ur hand blocked my face? " he replied.. " mmm.. i think so. "

so we took another. and this time, he deliberately did it! covered my whole face!

den we agreed to take another nicer n decent one because the rest were ALL WAITING to have their pics taken when i suddenly did it to him to tease him as well!
