Mummy's taste

last week, mummy was getting herself engaged in trying out the suan pan zi recipe coz daddy said he wants to eat suan pan zi. almost every other day mum was making suan pan zi. when i commented.. " why u want put so much effort? ". i saw it as a rather tideous process, all that yam and moulding etc.

mum's reply was.. " your daddy wants to eat ". and yes, i know its out of love.

and den mummy said.. " next time u want mummy's taste also dun have already ". she said it jokingly but i know its so real. and i know everyone loves their own mummy's taste. their mums don't have to be the greatest chef but they just have this taste dats pretty unique to themselves in terms of the things they cook.

my mummy's unique cooking taste would come in her soup, her porridge, her vegetable rice, the ketchup sting ray she specially prepares for me coz i dun really take chilli.. and many more.

den mummy added.. " dun worry, next time u want mummy's taste, you find mei mei.. i teach her already ". aunt lisa who was around as well said... " ya, ur mummy all inherit to mei mei already "

and mummy said.. " i will teach mei mei how to steam chicken and fish ". hahaha... yes, even a simple steamed dish actually also has mummy's taste. it is different.

although we began joking abt how mei mei must cook for me next time upon request, deep down, i never want to lose mummy's taste.
